With his striking yellow coloring, this bird is a jewel set against the pine trees. I rarely see them fly through our backyard but every now and then they show up and delight all of our family! This bird was my largest painting yet and while it was a little intimidating to start, I loved working on a large space! The dark contrasting background makes this bird pop out with its yellow. I framed it with a gold frame which compliments it so much.
